Rating: 4 stars! I’d definitely recommend it.
For this contest.
I remember I was a kid when I saw my first shampoo ad. This was back in the nineties, and as I recall, one of the few shampoo advertisements on Doordarshan was for Clinic Plus, which featured a schoolgirl whose hair was magically detangled by using Clinic Plus shampoo. The ad featured a daughter-mother pair with matching long, silky hair, and the first time I saw it, I was convinced that using Clinic Plus shampoo would straighten my own (very) curly hair.
As I grew up, I absorbed the truth of my mother’s words – though I didn’t like it – and for years I made my peace with my curly hair. Then finally, one day, I decided, enough was enough, and got it straightened.
And I was happy, until the time came when I had to shampoo my hair.
Because, to maintain this very expensive treatment, one is required to use special shampoos and conditioners, which could put one out of pocket for nearly a thousand rupees per set (one bottle of shampoo and conditioner each). Beauty is
Of course, you must carry on, wayward son, because it doesn’t end there – there’s more work to be done. Anyone who has ever straightened their hair knows you can’t just wash and air dry your hair after the treatment, you now need to blow dry it, which can be a pain for people living in the power cut prone areas, like I currently am. Or whenever I have to travel, because I need to pack – and lug around – my hair dryer in my suitcase, which leaves less space for any shopping.
Which is why Sunsilk’s new Perfect Straight shampoo and conditioner is such a godsend for me. Now that my hair treatment has reached the end of its days, I need to blow dry it aggressively each time I shampoo for me to maintain the same hair style I always had. The new Sunsilk Perfect Straight Shampoo and Conditioner, however, worked as advertised, and left me with straight hair once I let it air dry.
This is an awesome product when you look at it price wise – because you would expect something that works on such a specific problem to be more expensive than regular shampoos, but they are mostly in the same price range as the ‘normal’, regular shampoos and conditioners. Plus, the shampoo comes in a lovely lilac shade, and it smells nice, too.
More awesome than that, however, is the freedom to finally leave my blow dryer at home whenever I have to travel!
