Basically, Fullmetal Alchemist : Brotherhood series finale reaction post. As always, highlight to read spoilers.
So. Fullmetal Alchemist : Brotherhood is finally over.
I loved how certain things like Mustang insisting that he would get Havoc to walk again weren’t forgotten, although, I must be honest, I wasn’t too crazy about Mustang’s new look (I’m still hoping it was just an ill-placed smudge on my TV screen and not a mustache – yes, I really can stretch denial that far).
The photographs on the wall were a nice touch, and the one at the end, of Ed and Winry and their brood – with Uncle Al and Aunt May was really ‘aww’ worthy.
I am a little disappointed we didn’t get to see a similar one for Roy/Riza, though, dammit.
All in all, a satisfying conclusion to a great show. ♥
And while I am happy that all the threads have been wrapped up satisfactorily, and that no one died horribly, I am left with that strange… wistful feeling one gets when a much beloved show/book finally ends.
Which leads me to my new, pressing concern.
Now that FMA:B is over, the only anime I’m watching is Kaichou-wa Maid-sama! – and my life feels distressingly incomplete. Therefore, new anime/manga timez!
And since everyone knows how hard I find it to make decisions, poll! To be duly answered by A-hem people who know better:
A more carefully-thought out review for FMA:B to come later.
